Our school aged care programs are designed to meet the evolving needs and interests of the children within our centres. The activities are diverse and are a range of planned and spontaneous experiences. Educators plan the program under the guidance of our educational leader and with suggestions from staff, children & parents. Risk vs benefit analysis’ are carried out where needed to ensure that safety remains a priority.
The weekly program is themed to incorporate and acknowledge world or calendar events, cultural celebrations, the interests of children and to expose children to the benefits of varying play types and experiences.
Our framework for school aged care, My Time Our Place V2, forms part of the National Quality Framework and guides the planning and evaluations of our programming. The principles, practice and outcomes of My Time Our Place V2 ensure that children in school age care have opportunities to engage in leisure and play-based experiences which contribute to their ongoing development.
ACECQA (Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority) provides national leadership on Education and Care Services National Law and oversees the implementation of the National Quality Framework. They work with the NSW Regulatory Authority to implement and administer the NQF.
The NSW Regulatory Authority conducts periodical Assessment & Rating visits at all centres to ensure services are working with all elements of the National Quality Framework including National Regulations, National Quality Standards & My Time Our Place, Framework for School Age Care.
